 The RF inlay provides the RFID funtionality. The inlay consists of a PET carrier sheet which holds an RF antenna, to which is bonded a tiny microchip. PET is used for the carrier because of the unique combination of rigidity, flexibility and adhesive adherence. The selection of materials determines how well the tag will survive and wheteher it will be compatible with printers, applicators or other system hardware.
